Accreditation of Institutes

Standardization of forensic and expert activity ensures improvement in the quality of scientific and methodological support of forensic expert activity, and, accordingly, improvement of objectivity, reliability and validity of forensic expert opinions. Having studied the international experience of the OECD countries, as well as the EurAsEC countries, international associations of forensic institutions (see report No. KZJSISP/QCBS-06/D2), the relevance and need to develop standardization of forensic expertise in the Republic of Kazakhstan is undeniable.

In this connection, as part of the Project implementation, by the order of the Chairman of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 01.11.2019 No. 9-od, the Technical Committee for Standardization No. 105 “Forensic Expertise” (hereinafter TC) was established.

In order to support and develop the specified Technical Committee, in accordance with clause 10.9 of the Supplement Agreement No. 24 dated December 9, 2019 to Contract No. KZJSISP/QCBS-06, experts of JSC University KAZGUU named after M.S. Narikbayev” in the period from March 10 to March 13, 2020, training was conducted on the principles and provisions of the standardization system, development of standards issues for members of the TC on standardization “Forensic Expertise” No. 105, chief experts in the areas of the Republican state budget-supported enterprise “Center for Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.

The seminar was attended by the representatives of all stakeholders, including the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Economic Investigation Service of the Financial Monitoring Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, National Bar Association, Higher educational institutions, Chamber of forensic experts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chief experts in the areas and employees of the Scientific and Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Republican state budget-supported enterprise “Center for Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.
