Investigation of January events will be very difficult – experts

As explained by the Deputy Director of the Center for Forensic Examinations of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ilyas Ismailov, more than two thousand examinations have been appointed to date, mainly forensic, commodity research, construction, fire and explosive, ballistic. But this figure changes almost every day. In addition, portrait, psychological-forensic and other types of examinations are appointed. We also expect to receive a large number of forensic economic examinations. We understand that society, including business, needs to recover as soon as possible, so our specialists are trying to do everything in a timely manner, as soon as possible, and today we have no delays and red tape, all examinations are carried out within the time prescribed by law, there are no complaints. Therefore, it is simply impossible to speed up the process of research on certain types of examinations, otherwise it will affect the quality of the examination. And for us it is important, so that the examination is of high quality. In addition, there are so-called multi-object examinations, which provide for visits to the place of their location, dislocations. The expert must go, measure, examine each object. If there are a lot of them, respectively, it will take more time to conduct an examination. There are enough forensic experts in Almaty, but since this city suffered the most during the January events, 26 additional specialists from other regions of the country were sent to it. Their goal is to carry out all the necessary work in a timely and competent manner. In addition, a reserve team of experienced experts has been formed to promptly complete the production of examinations in Almaty, as well as in Shymkent, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda, Almaty, Aktobe and East Kazakhstan regions.
