The role of forensic expertise and special knowledge in the investigation and disclosure of drug-related crimes
On October 30, 2020, at the initiative of the US Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter – the Embassy), a bilateral online meeting of representatives of the Center for Forensic Examinations with representatives of the Embassy was held: John Dudley is the Head of the Department for International Drug Control and Law Enforcement (INL), Regional Adviser on Law Enforcement Programs of the Embassy and Raushan Kasymbekova is the Program Manager of the Department for International Drug Control and Law Enforcement (INL) of the Embassy.
During the conversation, the parties discussed issues and exchanged views on the importance and role of forensic expertise and special knowledge in the investigation and disclosure of drug-related crimes.
At the end of the meeting, the participants stressed the importance of continuing joint work and regular dialogue based on mutual trust.
