Format of cooperation within the CIS
On October 7, 2021, an online meeting of the expert group was held to coordinate the draft Agreement on the formation of the Interstate Council of Heads of Forensic Examination Bodies of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The event was organized by the CIS Executive Committee. The meeting was attended by representatives of forensic institutions of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The parties noted the need to give cooperation in this area a new quality, the transition to long-term and systemic interaction. The main goal of developing partnerships is to solve problems of protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens and the interests of their states through objective, scientifically grounded expert research. During the meeting, the key points of the Agreement were discussed, the parties made substantiated proposals.
