Forensic experts took part in an online meeting with representatives of the US Embassy on international drug control
On October 13, 2021, a virtual meeting of forensic experts of the Center for Forensic Examinations with representatives of the US Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan took place: John Dudley, Head of the Department for International Drug Control and Rule of Law (INL), Regional Adviser on Law Enforcement Programs and Raushan Kasymbekova, Program Manager of the Department for International Drug Control and Rule of Law (INL) on the production of forensic examinations of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues and precursors.
During the meeting, the trends that were observed during the analysis of illegal drugs in the current year in comparison with 2020 were discussed. The American side has received questions aimed at the most accurate reflection of the drug situation in Kazakhstan for further inclusion in the annual strategic report on international efforts to combat drug trafficking (INCSR) of the U.S. Department of State.
At the end of the meeting, the participants stressed the importance of continuing joint work and regular dialogue based on mutual trust.
